Fender MIJ Mustang MG-75/00 – Competition Candy Apple Red
A beautiful marriage of old and new parts with a ton of mojo. Fender Japan Mustang MG-73 body with a vintage 1975 Mustang rosewood neck. This 2000 MG-73 competition body that has the pickups swapped for a hotter set from Curtis Novak. The neck and original neck plate are from a vintage 1975 Mustang fresh from a crown, level and polish by the guys at Eric’s Guitars in Van Nuys, CA. The neck has the original tuners, nut and string trees. Comes in an original 60s hardcase with tremolo arm with a fresh setup on 10s. All the usual in an out of phase switching is stock, makes lots of great noises, looks great doing it. Perfect marriage of old and new. Weighs 7lb and 6oz and is setup on 10s.
Condition
Very good condition. The guitar is fresh from a pro setup, all the wiring and electronics are modern, all the hard parts are some degree of vintage. There’s a speck of missing paint at the neck joint of the body, light play wear on the plastics, light impressions, The neck has 50 years of patina, feels amazing, nitro finish. See the pictures, ask for more. As always, lots more pictures of this one at my site which Reverb doesn’t want me to link to, but if you put a dotcom behind my shop name, you’d already be there.
