Fender MIJ Mustang MG-73 – Competition Candy Apple Red
A beautiful limited edition Fender Japan Mustang MG-73 Competition in Candy Apple Red. This 2000 MG-73 competition body that has the pickups swapped for a hotter set from Curtis Novak. Hugely versatile with the vintage pickup switching between in-and-out of phase settings in a moment. Comes in an aftermarket hardcase with tremolo arm with a fresh setup on 10s. All the usual in an out of phase switching is stock, makes lots of great noises, looks great doing it. Weighs 7lb and 6oz and is setup on 10s.
Condition
Excellent condition. Light patina on metal parts, light playwear on plastics. One or two small flaws in the finish. Not new, not pristine, but amazing condition for its age. There’s a speck of missing red paint at the neck joint of the body, light play wear on the plastics, light impressions. See the pictures, ask for more. As always, lots more pictures of this one at my site which Reverb doesn’t want me to link to, but if you put a dotcom behind my shop name, you’d already be there.
