2018 Gibson Firebird T – Pelham Blue
The Gibson Firebird T – designed in the late 50s by an automative designer Ray Dietrich, broke new ground for Gibson with a suite of unexpected features and design touches such as the mini-humbuckers, Steinberger tuners, and the neck through body that practically defined this wonderful instrument in its earliest iterations. Comes in the original hard case with papers, baby photo, and tools from the factory. Weighs 8lb and 4oz, setup on 10s. The mini-humbuckers were replaced cleanly with a set of Gibson 57 Classics with an output of 8.0k at the bridge and 7.8k at the neck. Custom wiring, top wrap on the tail.
Condition is north of 8.5/10, excellent instrument, neck and frets with light play wear, one or two marks and small flaws, see below. Routed for humbuckers, cleanly.
Condition
Small nick on the back bottom bout, lacquer sink, checking, light hazing, hard to spot mark from a stand on the neck. Not new, not pristine, presents as excellent. One or two flaws and marks in the nitro finish. Horns and extremities are in good shape. See the pictures, ask for more. As usual, there are more pictures than Reverb will host on my own site at deegearlocker dotcom.
