2018 Gibson Firebird V – Ebony
The Gibson Firebird V – designed in the late 50s by an automative designer Ray Dietrich, broke new ground for Gibson with a suite of unexpected features and design touches such as the mini-humbuckers, reversed headstock, and the neck through body that practically defined this wonderful instrument in its earliest iterations. This one wears a non-stock pickguard in black/white/black 3 ply plastic. Comes in the original hard case with papers, baby photo, and tools from the factory. Weighs 7lb and 10oz, setup on 10s.
Condition is 9/10, excellent instrument, neck and frets with light play wear, one or two marks and small flaws. Pickguard swapped at some point for a b/w/b one, otherwise stock.
Condition
Usual flaws for black nitro, lacquer sink, light impressions, shallow scratches in the clear, patina on metal, light play wear on plastics. One or two flaws and marks in the nitro finish. See the pictures, ask for more. As usual, there are more pictures than Reverb will host on my own site at deegearlocker dotcom.
