2011 Fender USA American CC Jazz Bass – Daphne Blue – w/ Matched Headstock

Beautiful Fender Custom Shop creation from 2011 – a Custom Classic Jazz Bass with rosewood fretboard, tortoiseshell pickguard and a matched headstock in the same great looking Daphne Blue lacquer nitro finish. These are basically Deluxe style instruments with a list of nice features from the Custom Shop, like a quarter sawn neck, noiseless pickups, bone nut, block inlays on a 9.5″ radius 34″ scale, 21 fret neck, bone nut, Schaller Deluxe lightweight machine heads, 18v active EQ. This one is set up on standard wounds, this guitar looks and plays fantastically well with a mixture of vintage inspired but thoroughly modern features that turn it into a powerhouse instrument, as well as a beautiful one. Weighs 9lb 4oz. Comes in the original hardcase with the COA, owner manual, tags, cloth and a few other pieces of ephemera from the Corona, California Fender factory.

The condition is an easy 8.5/10, presents as excellent, nice contemporary features in a classic looking design. Aging gracefully.

Condition

Lacquer aging to a slight light green hue, a few small flaws and marks, there’s a small ding on the front of the headstock where the original color is missing. There’s a tiny flake missing from the front over the pickguard, a couple of dings in the lower portion of the neck, some dark marks in the finish from stands or straps. There is light checking, light playwear, fair amount of light buckle impressions on the back in the clear coat, slight hazing in places, one spot on the lower back is hazy, would probably buff up.
