2005 Gibson Les Paul 1960s’ Classic – Lemon Burst

Check out this golden girl, a classic Classic from 2005, one of the later of these early reproduction style instruments in a beautiful lemon burst gloss nitro finish. The color looks almost like a cherry burst, but the body cavity is marked clearly LB under the neck pickup. This one resides where lemon and cherry collide. This guitar previously had EMGs installed, it has been rewired with a set of Gibson 490/496 pickups with vintage cloth wiring, orange drop capacitors, Gibson 500k pots. Looks and sounds excellent. Comes in the original shrouded hard Gibson hard case. Weighs 8lb and 12oz and is setup on 10s. Pickups read 7.7k in the neck and 7.9k in the bridge.

Condition is 8/10 for minor play wear, modification. Plastics and hardware are original, pickups and all wiring are modern of the vintage type. Tuners were swapped, are now Gibson Deluxe in the same vintage style.

Condition

This instrument is in beautiful condition, shows play wear. Presents as very good. Not new, various small dings and signs of use and wear. There’s a small amount of checking on the sides, some worming and light buckle rash, light dings and scratches on the sides and back, hazing, wear around the controls. A real life relic, aging beautifully. This guitar was previously modified with EMGs, no wood was removed or holes drilled.
