2004 Fender MIJ Mustang MG69 – Daphne Blue

Excellent looking and playing Fender MG69 Mustang in Daphne Blue – pictures do not do the color justice. Tortoiseshell guard. The neck pickup is stock (5.7k), the bridge pickup is a Seymour Duncan JB 1 Jnr. that reads at 15k and sounds a lot mellower than it would seem. This instrument does a really good impression of a Skystang, it’s hugely versatile. Excellent tone in all in and out of phase positions, this guitar screams. Great neck, very clean frets, great body with minimal wear or damage, light neck cracks, one or two hard to spot dings – this thing isn’t new, by any means, pushing twenty years old now. Weighs in a 7lb and 3oz, pretty lightweight with the belly and arm carves cutting down the size of the Mustang body. Made in Japan sometime between 2004 and 2006. Photos are not capturing the color properly, it is very definitely a strong and vibrant Daphne, not Sonic, Blue.

Condition is 8.5/10 – non-original parts, small dings and light neck cracks, patina on metal parts, the usual very beautiful yet player grade vintage Fender Mustang things. Comes with a tremolo arm in a non-original hard case with keys included.

Condition

There is light play wear on the guitar body and pickguard, there’s some very hard to photo scratches in the clear on the body top. There are neck pocket cracks both sides, the treble side is lighter than the bass side. Light patina on metal parts, general signs of use and age.
