1982 Gibson FF-82 Heritage Flying V – Korina
Heritage Korina Flying V from 1982. The Tim Shaw pickups are original, the switch and output jack are not. At some point the instrument was modified with an under-pickguard rout for a 9v battery for EMGs. Weighs a featherweight 6lb and 10oz. Setup on 10s. Comes in an aftermarket TKL hard case. Stable tuning, minimal checking, aging gracefully. Definitely for the few.
Condition is 8/10
Condition
Very good condition. A few light impressions, checking, one or two small dings, light hazing, checking etc, the finish is perhaps the best part of the instrument. Not new, not pristine, but aging gracefully, and mostly original still. There’s a mark or fill by the bass side of the neck for a small crack that doesn’t spread through the body, There’s a ding on the back of the headstock on the treble side, there’s a fill or slight ugliness at the neck on the bass side. Everything fluoresces evenly under UV light, very even, nothing stands out. The gold hardware has patina and wear. The plastics, pickups and hardware are all original. Presents as fairly excellent, definitely special. Lots more pictures at my site, deegearlocker dotcom, than Reverb will host; see the pictures, ask for more.
