Here is a stock Les Paul Standard in beautiful Heritage Cherry burst from 1980. Late seventies vintage spec’d guitar, thick neck binding in the cutaway, volute, low wide frets and beautiful rosewood fretboard. The hardware and plastics are all original, aging gracefully, matched perfectly with a set of uncovered Tim Shaw pickups from the factory. Fresh pro setup by the guys at Eric’s Guitars in Van Nuys, California. Heritage Cherry Sunburst finish – the pickup cavity is stamped HCSB, a nice 2-piece top, honest wear attests to 4+ decades of music. Comes in a Gibson period correct Gen 2 Chainsaw style hard case, looks good in it. Weighs 8lb and 13oz, setup on 10s. Clean low wide frets, nice patina on the hardware, just a beautiful vintage player from the very early 80s with vintage touches like the frets, binding and pickups.

Condition is 8/10 for play wear, patina, aging. Not new, not pristine, just excellent, fresh from a nice setup on 10s.

This instrument is in beautiful vintage aged condition, it definitely shows play wear, is not new or pristine. Presents as very good, exactly what it is, a 40+ year old American made instrument. Various small dings and signs of use and wear. There’s a small amount of checking on the sides, some worming and light buckle rash, light dings and scratches on the sides and back, hazing, wear around the controls, one or two dings on the top, small amount of chipping on the back of the neck. A real-life relic, aging beautifully. All stock minus the pickup covers, which were removed at some point. Stock Gibson wiring on with pot dates to 79/80.
