Fender Mustang Japan CIJ MG69 Competition – 2000 – Candy Apple Red
Crafted in Japan, P# serial dates it sometime between 1999 and 2002, this Fender Mustang MG-69 Competition special edition ticks all the boxes. Does all the Mustang things in a beautiful competition finish, looks excellent. and is nearly flawless. Setup on 10s, weighs a lightweight 7lb and 11oz. Comes in a deluxe Fender gig bag with tremolo arm and Allan key for the tail. The bridge posts have been shrink wrapped for tuning stability, looks, sounds and plays great. Hard to believe this limited-edition instrument is pushing into proper vintage territory – aging gracefully.
Condition is and easy 9/10 – not new, not quite pristine, presents as excellent. Nice frets, very clean neck and fretboard.
Condition
Excellent, nearly without flaw. Hard to spot neck pocket flaws on the pocket side – tiny flakes of Candy Apple missing from the corner, looks like a reflection. A few light impressions in the clear coat from setup, very light play wear. Not new, not pristine, but close. As always, there are more pictures than Reverb will host on my own site, deegearlocker dotcom. See the pictures, ask for more.
